Residential interior design

Quanshi International Interior Design Co., Ltd.

Intermission refers to a break during a theater performances. Our client being a performing artist, we took design and lighting inspiration from the theatre. The L-shaped axis was designed to break conventions and connect different areas of the space, just like a scene in a play. Muted, dark tones and reflective materials were combined to create a quiet place for the client to relax. The idea stemmed from black box theater, which consists of an unadorned performance space, usually a large square room with black walls and a flat floor.
