“The island is also earth, the same earth that is the raw material from which everything is born and is the origin of the ceramic products”. The narrative of Ceramica Cielo’s new Itaca collection by Luca Cimarra starts with the idea of an island, a concept that the designer has managed to skilfully transpose into bathroom elements. A land surrounded by water, a world in itself concluded yet open, circumscribed yet complete, the island in this case also becomes a metaphor for an increasingly intimate domestic space. Itaca, a symbol of homecoming and reconnection to one’s roots. Like a sculptural ceramic elements.
