Phygital, hassle-free journey for credit granting
Itaú UnibancoHistorically, individuals at the base of Brazil’s financial pyramid have had minimal access to credit products outside of government-subsidized options. Through a personalized credit policy and a unique distribution model centered on entrepreneurs supporting entrepreneurs, Itaú Microcredit has disbursed over BRL 2.5 billion to more than 200,000 small businesses. This initiative has increased Itaú’s market share from 0.2% to 13% within four years and positively impacted the lives of 1,300 families through incentives that partners receive from Itaú. Furthermore, the initiative reduced processing time from three days to just three minutes.
