Self-disinfecting handrail

Crowded environment of public transportation system is easy to propagate disease, the handrail in the train carriage provide the best hotbed for pathogens. UV Handrail is designed for providing germ-free handrails so that people can feel relieved while holding them. There is an UV lamp embedded in the handrail and the light rays are guided inside the handheld part. The rays will leak out there where bacteria or virus touch the surface because of the frustrated total internal reflection phenomenon which has a sterilization effect. Furthermore, there is antibiotic coating on the other parts for increasing the sterilizing effect.
