ivi house
Detached house
HASEKO Corporation
ivi house is a two story wooden home in Suginami Tokyo built on a 125 square meter site with a 100 square meter floor area. Rooted in the Zen idea of musa kui no sakui living as part of nature rather than controlling it this project reinterprets the idea for urban life. Japanese architecture once blurred inside and outside yet efficiency driven living created invisible walls between people, nature, and daily experience. ivi house dissolves them as living architecture where light, sound scent and materials shape daily life through the senses. Grounded in human sensibility it connects technology, architecture and emotion to sustain culture.
