Interior design

This project involved reshaping the façade of a shop in a historical street and expressing the characteristics of the resulting new space. Naturally any conflict between our task and the historical surroundings had to be avoided. Specifically, we concentrated on putting used crossties into our interior design and making them a primary factor of the space. We reprocessed the used crossties and applied them to the walls, poles, steps, bar, tables and even the lighting to show the distinct and charming style and features of abandoned crossties. Our goal was to find any possible way of reusing these abandoned materials and remind people of the exhaustion of the earth’s resources.
