Indoor Lighting

KAGEAKARI redefines indoor sensor light. The market is filled with white light prioritized bright and visible. The “beauty of light and shadow” once present in Japan life has lost and we gradually forget our “ability to perceive beauty” We decided to redesign light itself, shifting from the light to see to the light to feel. Inspired by Jun’ichiro Tanizaki’s In Praise of Shadows, KAGEAKARI is a design where light takes center stage. The fixture unites seamlessly with the wall, housing all components includes the sensor. Advanced techniques achieve an ultra-thin, refined form. This project fuses Japanese aesthetic sensibility with technology.
