KAGOME Building

Office building

The project site is located at the entrance to the downtown Nishiki 3-Chome lovingly nicknamed Kinsan. This was a project to reconstruct the headquarters building of Kagome Co., Ltd. which was familiar to the locals for about 60 years. With a design concept of a basket for tomato harvesting, from which the company name Kagome is derived, we created a space and formed a façade by continuing the KAGOME ARCH inspired by the woven bamboo pattern of basketwork, which appeals to the city. Since the basket is composed of wood to convey the nature-oriented corporate image, the design is expressed in a contemporary way by using wood.
