Kakao Pay sought ways to accelerate the walletless world by connecting card plate designs with mobile UX. The plate design utilizes the Kakao brand asset, the Niniz character, placing its full face in a cropped frame. These card plates come to life in the mobile app. Compared to static Kakao Pay cards, the digital version possesses a unique presence and friendly behavior that captivates customers when paying. The customer is automatically registered in the mobile app upon online application approval and can begin using the Kakao Pay service without waiting for the credit card to be physically delivered.
