Vehicle
Kia Deutschland GmbHThe crossover model Kia Soul is known for its distinctive style. The second generation of the Kia Soul has matured considerably, "adult" appearance – and perpetuates at the same time the striking, individualistic character of the model. The new elegant exterior is inspired by the Kia Track'ster concept (world premiere at the Chicago Motor Show 2012). Compared to the previous model, which was launched in 2009, also the driving ability has improved. The customers can choose between two engines, the most recent versions of the 1.6-liter gasoline direct injection and the 1.6-liter turbo diesel.
Good design moves - selected by Ronald Ihrig KIA’s products are currently maturing greatly in terms of design and technology. In the second generation, the KIA Soul has a new and more stable frame with slightly more length and width. The design benefits from the new proportions by successfully refining established stylistic elements from the first generation such as the upright sides with the distinctive window graphic and an SUV-like ground clearance. To emphasize the horizontal surfaces even more, the KIA Soul can be ordered in a two-color design with a contrasting roof. As an integral part of the new brand identity, the subtle ‘tiger-nose grille’ marks the corporate design. The KIA Soul is a globally coordinated project with the exterior design coming from the US-based studio in Irvine and the interior design coming from the studios in Frankfurt.
