KITOTE

Shoji

This is a branding design for the Japanese tategu brand named KITOTE. Tategu refers to doors and windows, particularly designed for a Japanese house. The brand manufactures their tategu products made out of natural woods, with the hands of craftsmen. The brand deals with and develops product design for modern living spaces, by applying the “unified measurement”, which sets 18 mm as a standard measurement. In response to modern housing distribution, the brand provides tategu products with built-in door frames, which do not require to send craftsmen to actual building sites, and which therefore reduce time, work, and cost of site construction.
