The Kyungpook National University Hospital's character system was developed to meet the specific needs and conditions of a hospital. There is an organic linkage between the icon system of the hospital and the pictogram system, which produces a consistent identity-strengthening effect in its many usages, from promotional images to directional systems. The main advantage of this character system is that it combines the requirements to provide a clear and unique identity with numerous practical and attractive effects. The design is also flexible thanks to the integration of icons and pictograms.
