KONOHANA SAKUYA ISU is a chair that embodies the refined aesthetics of Japanese culture and is carefully crafted from entirely biodegradable materials, allowing it to return to the earth at the end of its life cycle. The primary wood used is Yamazakura—a native species of Japanese wild cherry known for its strength and beauty. The chair’s name is inspired by Konohanasakuya-hime, a goddess from Japanese mythology associated with cherry blossoms, reflecting the chair’s delicate and graceful form.
