KTM Delta
E-Motorbike
KTM Delta is an E-mobility-concept for urban commuters, inspired by exploring the city with a Fixie. It features a lightweight carbon monocoque frame and enough suspension to overcome all obstacles in the city. By bracing the frame with the seat, the frame is closed within itself and therefore stable. Charging or replacing the battery can be achieved by lifting the seat, which is connected to the frame with a fastener. The bike's narrow construction allows urban commuters to safely navigate the smallest lanes.
The market between eBicycles and heavy electric cars offers a great chance with improved battery technology. In Asia we do see an increase in electric scooters. Electric motorbikes with even less weight and enhanced mobility for skilled drivers are for sure an important coming product group. 310-1-184888 KTM Delta concept with very clear product design language shows at first glance the idea of user friendly access and technical aesthetics of the new mobility source, as well as high usability for daily tours and sports. Nothing overdone. No fancy details, everything reduced to technical necessity and pure aesthetics. The project was executed until a full size model. All feature lines are part of a clearly structured concept. Product graphics and colour selection do show clear understanding of KTM brand and corporate design of the Austrian company. Student work on a very high professional level.
WINNER STATEMENTIt's a great pleasure for me that my work is honored with the iF STUDENT DESIGN AWARD for the second time by such an international jury. This confirms that I'm on the right way with my design. It is an incentive for the future to continue and improve .
