Kyo-zutsu SC-KKL01
Wireless speaker system
Panasonic CorporationKyo-zutsu wireless speakers are jointly made by Kyoto KADEN Lab, which has a reputation for delicate Japanese workmanship, and Kaikado, a long-established tea caddy maker in Kyoto. The concept involves creating a new way to experience audio, involving all five senses as well as memory. The aim was to allow sound to spread like an aroma when a tightly-sealed caddy is opened. The brass body also allows the appliance to age gracefully. Combining the essence of Japanese craftsmanship with the latest technology, this is an appliance out of its time, a far cry from the designed obsolescence of many modern devices.
iF Gold Statement
At first glance, this wireless speaker appears simple in terms of shape and materials. Yet closer inspection reveals an outstanding feature in the housing: the brass develops a beautiful patina as it ages. The speaker's exeptional design and functionality ensure a very special audio experience.
