Annual Report

Kyoto Design Lab Kyoto Institute of Technology

The annual report of KYOTO Design Lab, a global collective design innovation platform based in Kyoto Institute of Technology, needed an editorial design that simultaneously handles the difference between Japanese and English typography. To cope with the difference in sentence structures for different types of articles, each chapter is designed in a unique layout system. Structures and contents are also designed in a balanced integration of Japanese and English, applying effectively the use of fluorescent ink, silver ink, various paper types, and character layout to achieve its visual impact and a clear-cut structure.
