Recycled bottle design

Lambai Boutle is a project that not only reuses and redesigns used glass bottles on Lambai or Liuqiu Island, a coral island in the Taiwan Strait, but also sets up an "off-Island" system so that the upcycled products become an export product. The residents of the island can follow the system to turn the bottles into new products to sell, or money boxes to fundraise for transportation costs.

JURY STATEMENT

Lambai Boutle project creates the possibility of solving both an environmental and a social problem by redesigning bottles into decorative pieces. The "Off-Island" system ensures resale of the bottle and reduction of leftover bottles.

WINNER STATEMENT

It's a great honor to be selected as a winner of the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD 2021. I'd like to thank my professor and the entire team who contributed to this project.
