Innovative & Sustainable Traditional Craft

Layered Interactions transform traditional lacquerware into an interactive interface by embedding programmable circuits and sensors within a multi-layered structure. Rooted in heritage craftsmanship, this innovation preserves the haptic elegance and aesthetics of traditional crafts while introducing new interactive functionalities. By seamlessly merging digital technology with time-honored craftsmanship, it redefines the role of lacquer in interactive art, smart design, and digital heritage. This fusion can be extended to other crafts, promoting their cultural sustainability and adaptation in contemporary products.
