Medical device

PDR

Urinary incontinence is a significant global healthcare challenge estimated to affect 4% to 8% of the population. Largely unchanged in design for 60 years, devices are notorious for leaks and smells, difficult to empty and clean, and provide high levels of stigmatization and distress to users. Layr brings clear clinical, practical and psychological benefits to the situation of overnight catheterization. An intelligent, connected ‘flask’ that delivers clinical expertise through telemedicine-based analysis of the flask’s contents to remote clinicians whilst eliminating the stigma and practical difficulties associated with existing systems.
