LEAP is a new generation smart auxiliary power unit that is good for intuitive use and can be easily adapted to ordinary wheelchairs. It has a torsion-driven geared power mechanism and a horizontal lever to reduce effort when climbing and a stalling prevention device to act as a safety measure when going down a slope. The low-profile power module made of carbon fiber is easily removed by a single button push and the lightweight design facilitates storage, carrying and recharging.
