The power of this design is in the simplicity. Every component of the Philips LED spot range has been optimized to create an attractive product for an affordable price. The goal of the project was to create an LED spot with adequate light output that can be retailed at less than € 20. To do so, Philips created all the components from scratch. In terms of materials used, the bases are powder coated, pressed steel, while the swivel is chromed steel. The spot head is made out of powder coated, die-cast aluminum, to ensure adequate cooling of the LEDs, as well as a high quality look and feel.
