The high-performance digital reportage camera LEICA DIGILUX 2 can be operated just like an analog professional camera: The key photographic parameters definition, aperture, focal length and shutter speed can be adjusted in exactly the same way as on a classic SLR camera with setting rings on the lens and a shutter speed dial. Besides the convenience of the automatic functions, therefore, the LEICA DIGILUX 2 offers scope for creativity in the familiar mode of traditional photography. The fast Leica zoom lens covers the focal length range from 28 to 90 mm. With 2/3 inch for a resolution of five million pixels, the image sensor is exceptionally large. Every single pixel therefore has more room (3.4 µm) than normal in this digital camera class. The results are images of an extraordinary high quality.
