LG Guggenheim Award 2023 - Physical Award

Physical Award (Trophy)

SWNA designed this physical award for the LG Guggenheim Award, an international contemporary art award established by LG and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum to recognize artists for their groundbreaking achievements in technology-based art. Digital ones and zeros, the foundational construct of information science and computing, served as our inspiration for this design: we captured the idea of intersecting ones and zeros in this iconic aluminum form to symbolize the potential for new artforms to be enabled by technology. We extended the concept to the presentation case as well. The final design effectively honors the spirit of the Award.
