Life door lock
Safety device
When a fire occurs indoors, people naturally try to escape through the nearest exit. However, sometimes an apparently safe passage is already filled with smoke, making escape impossible. This handle is designed to sense the smoke concentration on the other side of the door, so that in a fire scenario people can quickly orient themselves to the safest escape route.
In most fire disasters, people are confused about where to go, and many casualties result from them unwittingly running towards instead of away from danger. For example, the emergency stairwell often becomes a chimney through which heat and smoke pass. This design concept is simple yet potentially highly effective, as it responds to actual conditions and provides vital information on the safest route out of the building.
