Life Markers

Rescue robot

After an earthquake, roads are often damaged, which means that rescue workers cannot get to the disaster area to rescue people quickly enough, wasting valuable rescue time. ‘Life Markers’ are UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) that search for survivors and reduce the rescue time by using UAVs to scan the ruins. If signs of life are detected, the UAV marks the spot by spraying red circles on the ground through its nozzles. Rescue workers can then rush to that particular area to search for survivors and to rescue the injured people more quickly.
