Lift up Life-Apparels for the Urban Poor Porters
Fashion Design
The Bang Bang are the traditional porters of Chongqing, China, who carry heavy loads through the streets using only bamboo poles and nylon ropes. They live in dilapidated houses or on the street. In bad weather, they struggle to survive. This clothing line is designed for warmth retention and wind resistance and can be transformed into a tent to provide temporary shelter for these informal workers.
This exciting clothing concept offers function and dignity to a highly marginalized group of people. A beautiful design that is ambitious yet feasible.
WINNER STATEMENTMy first iF competition, I'm thrilled to be among the 76 Winners! It was a great encouragement! My dream since childhood has been to become a designer. My goal is to solve problems for the society and provide help for human beings with design. A bright future for all of us!
