Educational aid

In rural areas of Africa, many school-going teenagers lack the ability to study at night due to frequent power cuts. Light-O is both a toy for younger children and a ceiling lamp for older ones. It converts the kinetic energy generated during the day through children rolling the disk into electric energy that is stored and released at night. The concept was inspired by a game called 'Hoop rolling' which is popular in Africa (also called inkil in Eritrea).
