Light Up - Lin Kaijun Building by the Harbor

Spatial Design

To retain surfaces and textures in the heritage building, we open up the place with minimal interventions in response to current conservation status. Floors and lights correspond to current structural materials at the pedestrian arcade, and reconnect with urban traffic. With three different perspectives from the table, the bench, and the counter, viewers revisit the glamorous past in the building, and bring it back to local communities and discussions after decades.
