Café and exhibition space

The building is over 50 years old and was formerly run-down and dark. We cut through the old steel roof to let light flood the atrium, drawing people into the space. The entrance previously had a set of stairs often plagued by flooding, and we replaced the stairs with a barrier-free ramp to allow easy access to the space. Moreover, this is a multi-purpose space to serve the community. Besides being a café and art space for holding exhibitions and talks, Light Yard Café is a meeting place for residents, visitors, and students from nearby schools.
