When you use an iron, there is no way to know exactly how hot your iron is, and whether it is hot enough to use, or cool enough to touch it after use. This new type of iron is designed to indicate visually how hot your iron is. Silk, for example, should be carefully ironed at a low temperature, and the iron indicates this by turning pink. Cotton, on the other hand, requires a high temperature, and the iron will turn dark red when it’s hot enough. The colour of the iron will show you what the right temperature is for all the clothes that you iron. This iron will also keep children safe by clearly indicating red for danger.
