Pear packaging

LIMU packaging is an eco-friendly, reusable knitted bag for packaging graft-grown pears. Fashioned from lin rushes with grafted-stem handles and molded pulp trays, each bag holds a bunch of eight pears. The bags are packed in cartons for shipping and ready for take-away at retail stores. Lin rushes are biodegradable yet durable, and the material can last for years if properly cared for. Customers can reuse the bag for daily shopping. The stem handle is recycled from the grafting process used for growing the pears themselves. The brand comes from the Chinese character for “pear,” divided into its constituent parts “li” (sharp) and “mu” (wood).
