LINKKI

Toy and Teaching Material

LINKKI is a kinetic construction toy based on a planar linkage mechanism with which users can design movements, make kinetic artworks and learn basic STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects by hands-on playing. Consisting of a modular box, bars and circles, as well as active modules, LINKKI simplifies the technical construction toy to such an extent as to look minimal while still retaining the versatility of construction blocks as an educational tool and designer’s prototyping tool.

JURY STATEMENT

This project use simple elements and components to create versatility movements.

WINNER STATEMENT

It is really an honor to get the prestigious iF STUDENT DESIGN AWARD 2016 for the toy I designed for the first time. This encourages me to keep developing tools and toys for creative play.
