Longgang Academy

Memorial hall

The Longgang Academy is a sacred place for sinology, and also the memorial hall of Wang Yangming, who was a famous philosopher during the Ming Dynasty. In the design, the logo uses the elements of the architecture of the Academy and a book spine, adding conception of the ‘Qian’ and ‘Kun’ with the technique of expression of ‘Yin’ and ‘Yang’. It is a pursuit for the philosophy of the unity of knowledge and action in our rational mind. The purpose of these designs is to bring this excellent culture forward into the contemporary world. Another goal is to create a space where impetuous urbanites might calm down and rethink the meaning of life.
