LONGTANG BRANCH TAOYUAN PUBLIC LIBRARY

Public library space

The Longtan branch of Taoyuan City Public Library combines knowledge, art, and ecology to create a library that references the four seasons. The library complex is multi-purpose and is divided into three main buildings: the Deng Yuxian Music Memorial Hall (3 floors), the main library (4 floors), and the independent exhibition hall (1 floor). The interior space has areas for six different themed activities: music, audio-visual, reading, learning, exhibition and landscape. The biggest challenge for this project was to use the interior design strategy to seamlessly integrate multi-themed spaces, software, and hardware.
