Eyewear frames

Most contemporary eyewear frames are similar in form, yet people feel the need to express their unique style and personality in an item that is literally in front of their noses. Komorebi Eyewear offers a solution that is as subtle and discreet as it is distinctive. ‘The Loops’, by Jessica Schellekens, is a family of different frames designed for Komorebi Eyewear. Each frame has form features that emerged from experimentation with rope. At the front of the frame, a difference in height can be perceived when the rope overlaps, yet the frames remain fully symmetrical in contrast to the asymmetrical surface.
