Lota Agua

Shower

“Lota Agua” is a low-cost folding shower for use in areas where there is no running water available. The user simply stands on a container filled with water. The water pressure required is created by the user’s body weight – a valve on the shower head controls the water flow. The shower is very easy to set up. The water used for showering can then be directly recycled for watering gardens and plants.

JURY STATEMENT

Hansgrohe Prize 2012: My Green Shower Pleasure - selected by Andreas Haug A concept that focuses on the problem of keeping clean in disaster-struck regions. Low-tech – very easy to set up on location. A good solution for transport and the easy creation of water pressure using the user’s body weight have us convinced!
