Orientation system

Lufthansa AG’s headquarters, designed by Ingenhoven and Partner, is immediately next to Frankfurt’s airport. The project encompassed the development of a building-orientated identity, an orientation system and all communication measures. The graphics reflect Lufthansa’s corporate design and establish a relationship between the building’s special features and the corporation. Orientation occurs out of the combination of sign elements and intuitive, typographical measures, integrated into the architecture, that respond to the building’s particular materiality and emphasise their relationship to another.
