Lune
Personal hygiene tools
Lune is a series of open-source, 3D-printed water bottle attachments designed to help homeless women maintain personal hygiene in public bathrooms. Lune consists of three items that support menstruation, showering, and hair-washing needs – the three biggest personal hygiene challenges for homeless women. To avoid overstock in homeless shelters, the products are manufactured upon request. After the women place their order from the product catalogs placed in the shelters, the shelter sends the order to a nearby volunteer manufacturer who owns a 3D printer.
In the post-COVID-19 era, where hygiene is more important than before, this is an item that can enhance hygiene convenience and stability by supplying sanitary tools to homeless people. It is positive that various types of tools can be made using 3D printers to increase the possibility of use. Through a friendly design, it solves the difficult problem of personal care for homeless women.
