LYKOR®

Thermosetting polymer

LYKOR® is an innovative thermosetting polymer that utilizes existing casting technology and is specifically formulated for design applications including furniture, lighting, medical and product design. This new material is 40% lighter than standard solid surfaces, but strong and rigid enough to allow for the design of complex and appealing “free-form” structural objects. Nine full colors (other colors available on request) and three finishing effects are available for the standard version. LYKOR® is customizable, enabling it to become UV and fire-resistant. As a “mass-colored” material, it is 100% restorable and needs no special finishing, limiting production costs and permitting the use of the most popular processing techniques, such as drilling, milling, etc. Because the material is made from more than 50% natural renewable resources, it is both ecologically (100% recyclable) and economically sustainable. Basic molding technology and serial production (including small / medium volumes), combined with LYKOR®’s eco-friendly life cycle, leads to price efficiency and ultimately preserves primary environmental resources.
