Machine Memoirs: Space

Exhibition

The most comprehensive solo exhibition by Refik Anadol Studio in Istanbul to date, Machine Memoirs: Space designs a new conceptual framework to utilize a vast archive of space exploration photography and data representation. In a series of data paintings, 3D data sculptures, and a 15-minute immersive AI cinema, the exhibition brings together over 2 million images that were captured and recorded by the ISS, Hubble, and MRO telescopes and other sensors and satellites. This is the largest space-related dataset ever used to train a generative adversarial network (GAN) for artwork.
