Memorial Museum Identity

The Maehyangri Peace Museum was built as a symbol of ‘peace’ and 'life' space as it was returned to the local people after being used as a U.S. Air Force fighter jet training range for 54 years. SOAP design was to develop the brand strategy that visually and spatially resonate the unrevealed wounds of local people and invisible values of peace and life. The museum identity was designed to symbolize not only the sounds of bombing but also the voice of the people for their peace, and to transform them into the waveform of the heartbeat of life. MMM is the initials for Maehyangri, Memorial, Museum, and evokes the wave of pain and peace.
