Book

An architectural book with an appealing haptic form. Picture essays in five acts break the book down into “persons”, “exterior”, “interior”, “ideas” and “protagonists”. The interludes are formed by textual reflections with individually designed typography by five authors. “exterior” and “interior” make the architecture of Marte.Marte sensually experienceable. Aerial photographs of the buildings contrast with the indoor image series; graphically reduced “X-rays” of plans and sections form iconic counterpoints within the outdoor image series. The form of the book as a “building block”: monochrome black (also in profile), compact, linear, no protrusions or profiling.
