Martin Liebscher. Einer für alle. One for all.

Book

History knows a number of egomaniacs: Narcissus represents the selfish, Nero the tyrants, Napoleon the self-styled emperors, Mohammed Ali the greatest – all small fry, next to artist Martin Liebscher. Because the only thing in Liebscher’s world is Liebscher himself. His infatuation with detail precludes a normal format, which, after all, would hardly do justice to the scenes in which he talks and fights with, and beats himself. The pictures are all the same height – that of the book – while the width is constituted by 2, 3, even 4 double spreads. It is merely a logical consequence, at the end, Liebscher also also hijacks the publication page.
