Martin Liebscher. Einer für alle. One for all.
Book
Fine German
History knows a number of egomaniacs: Narcissus represents the selfish, Nero the tyrants, Napoleon the self-styled emperors, Mohammed Ali the greatest all small fry, next to artist Martin Liebscher. Because the only thing in Liebschers world is Liebscher himself. His infatuation with detail precludes a normal format, which, after all, would hardly do justice to the scenes in which he talks and fights with, and beats himself. The pictures are all the same height that of the book while the width is constituted by 2, 3, even 4 double spreads. It is merely a logical consequence, at the end, Liebscher also also hijacks the publication page.
