Bus shelter

Seoul Metropolitan city & Hyundaicard

The bus shelters are installed at Seoul Train Station Bus Transfer Center (South Korea). This is a public structure realizing oversize media by embedding around 36.400 LEDs in between two sheets of transparent glass. There are 12 bus shelters with a size of 8 x 2.5 m (W x H). The wall and ceiling glass of all these bus shelters is correlated with moving images displaying low-pitch pixel media. Also, this structure creates integrated locative media which result in mutually complex interaction between people and infrastructure through a motion sensor system, urban bus information system (BIS), IR bus arrival sensor and online networks.
