MeeTime BeiDou Satellite Messaging is the first ever feature that allows civilian mobile phones to use the BeiDou satellite system. The phones can still send MeeTime messages with geographical locations and generate route maps when there's no terrestrial network signal, forexample, when the phone users are in deserts, in distress at seas, or waiting for rescue in earthquakes.
