Meno Clinic

Patient room

Meno Clinic is a new patient room that´s designed based on women's experiences and stories. Visiting the gynecologist can be a very uncomfortable experience, mentally as well as physically. Meno Clinic is a patient room with a new flow and movement pattern. It is thoughtfully planned so that the patient doesn’t have to get undressed in front of the gynecologist. All to ensure a more comfortable and less vulnerable experience. Designed for women, by women.

JURY STATEMENT

The "meno clinic" is a considered redesign of the space where a woman undergoes a gynecological exam. The designer has made use of her own and participants' experiences to emphatically reimagine the gynecological exam experience in a way that is more empowering and less traumatic for women. Although the chair was not the focus of the project, this is central to the exam and it would be a good development of the project to see if further refined.

WINNER STATEMENT

I feel thankful, honored, and proud to receive the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD for my project MENO CLINIC! To see that this subject is getting attention from the design industry and that the project will get a broader spread really motivates me to continue designing solutions that have a positive impact on people's lives.
