Micro-Irrigation Fiber
Weaving A Leaf Vein Effect
Taiwan Textile Research InstituteWe design this planting system for spare spaces ex. urban roofs, which can automatically spread water in a horizontal way and imitates the principle of water distribution through a network of leaf veins. For this, we utilize suction function, by a bund of multi-hollow pie fiber, which commonly apply for eyeglass or glass-cleaning cloths. Without the requirement for daily care, made by 100% recycled fabrics from inside out. It is lightweight so it is easy to move. This planting system can be infinitely woven and expanded. Out layer made of recycled PET for concrete ground; the fiber soil is taken from unused scraps mix with recycled cotton.
