Optical inspection unit

Laetus GmbH

MiraLux, the optical inspection unit with integrated megapixel camera and LED lighting, is used on packaging machines for pharmaceuticals. The system is intended for true-color inspection of tablets in blister packs. The upper casing supports the camera and lighting, while the lower casing is designed as light protection. With the new design, the side panels fold in to speed up changeovers while the front panels provide easy access. The challenge was to find new design solutions and to reflect system characteristics such as speed, quality, and eliability.
