Auxiliary Tableware for the Elderly

Mispoon is a mirrored spoon that assists patients who experience insensitivity in the mouth. Many elderly and head and neck cancer patients suffer from the problem of insensitivity in the mouth. Due to the effects of chin paralysis and chewing disorders, they need to face a mirror to eat. With this design, users can see the position of the spoon and mouth in the mirror while eating, which makes it easier for them to eat.

JURY STATEMENT

"By simply altering the conventional spoon shape, this design meets the needs of elderly and impaired users with poor sensitivity in their mouths. This is a very practical design that can be produced immediately."

Thanks to the recognition of the iF Design Award, design is an integrated work, I am still learning, and I am currently ready to set up a design company, looking forward can continue to create a valuable concept and bring a little help to the world.
