„Mission Ägypten“ (Mission Egypt) is ZDF's latest educational multimedia online special and was designed to accompany the documentary program “Terra X: Egypt”. The interactive uses the possibilities of tablets, augmented reality and social networks while providing an in-depth knowledge of the ancient Egypt. In order to qualify as an expert in ancient Egyptian culture the user has to decode hieroglyphs, embalm a deceased pharaoh, build a temple according to cosmic order and to identify scenes of the ancient Egyptian culture from wall painting. Once a mission is accomplished, the user receives a reward, which she/he can share with friends on social networks.
